As he ate, Yakuroro thought about all the magic he'd done so far and the sensation of growth he'd managed to stoke quite often even since leaving Imuchakk. Magoi couldn't flow if a magician didn't have any energy, so he was consuming as much food as he could in order to prepare for the exhausting days of training that were laying ahead of him. Yakuroro sat cross on a chair that was too small for an Imuchakk as he feasted on a small bounty of food before him. If pushed too hard, the magician's magic could back fire inside their own body causing potential harm to both flesh and magoi. You were essentially forcing your magoi system to grow by running large quantities of it through the body at a constant rate.
But the training came with its own risks. If the user could manage to keep the magoi "burning" long enough over enough days then their total magoi output can be expanded. The result would be a glowing white light of magoi output which was hard to maintain. Then they would tell that magoi to intensify and burn itself off expending the energy. Realizing that in order to surpass his limits, more training was needed, Yakuroro secluded himself in his inn room for days and began a basic but fundamental training technique.įirst, the magician would gather and mold Magoi from their body and release it into the air in its purest form.

While training under her guidance Yakuroro simply learned tricks and methods for how to better utilize power he already had. His magoi output was no higher than it had been before he left with Lady Soushui.
While Yakuroro had learned several new spells of a scale he'd never known before during his travels to Zou, the Magician feared that he hadn't truly made progress as a magician.
